The future of accounting is in the cloud
Cloud accounting software can save you time, keep you organised and, ultimately, give you a better insight into the daily financial position of your business.
Here are just a few of the reasons why we recommend cloud accounting:
- You can access your bookkeeping and business accounts wherever you are, on any device – all you need is an internet connection
- You can transfer your existing data from another accounting package e.g. Excel spreadsheets without having to re-input the information
- You can easily share your up-to-date accounting information with your RfM accountant
- You can easily input data on sales and purchases
- You raise customer quotes within the software – and turn those quotes into invoices with a few clicks
- Automatic bank feeds make it easy to manage your business banking
- You can set up invoice alerts to help you see your debtors and manage cashflow
- You will be ready for the demands of HMRC’s Making Tax Digital project.
We offer a choice of cloud accounting packages depending on the size and nature of your business and your previous experience of bookkeeping software. As a rule, all our packages are packed with useful features – and delightfully jargon-free!
Your RfM accountant will be able to help you decide which package – RfMplus+, Xero, Sage or Zoho – is best for your business. Whichever package you choose, we can help you to get started and provide training if you need it. So you’ll soon be making the most of managing your business finances in the cloud.
Intuitive and easy to pick up
Our cloud accounting packages have lots of features designed to help make the financial side of running a business easier. They are perfectly suited for small and medium companies and can be customised to meet the specific financial demands of larger organisations.
Even if you’re new to business bookkeeping, admin and accounting, you should find our packages really simple to learn. Your RfM advisor will help you get started and is on hand to offer support if you have any questions along the way.
We offer a free 14-day trial of any package to new users – which should be plenty of time to get to grips with it.
Do your business bookkeeping wherever you are
You don’t have to be sitting at your desk – or any desk for that matter – to keep on top of your business finances. As the applications are hosted in the cloud, you can log in and use them anywhere that you have access to the internet. If you want to work remotely, or have staff in different locations, you can still do your bookkeeping, create quotes and invoices, generate reports, check your bank accounts and more.
And, if the worst happens and your hardware goes haywire (a nightmare for small businesses), you can breathe again with the knowledge that your accounting data is safe in the cloud.
Remote access also allows your accountant to access your financial data if they need to, for example to prepare your end of year accounts, generate reports and create tax returns.
Even more reasons to love cloud accounting…
No more downloading or installing – You don’t need to download or install any software to use our cloud accounting software. Once you have your username and password, simply log in from your chosen device to get started.
Easy data transfer – If you currently use another system such as Quickbooks or Excel, you can transfer all your data into the cloud application. There’s no need to re-input the information or wait for the next accounting period.
Tailored invoices and quotes – You can tailor the content and layout of your invoices and schedule them to be sent out automatically. If you have clients who don’t always pay on time, you can set alerts to notify you when an invoice is overdue.
Take charge of credit control – If you run a small business, keeping on top of what money you’re waiting for is vital. Our cloud software packages clearly show you who owes you what and when, and include useful credit control tools such as reminder emails for debtors.
Better business insights – Even if you’re not an accounting expert, you’ll benefit from being able to quickly see the financial position of your business at any time. With our cloud packages you can easily create reports showing how much you’re spending and who your best customers are. If you need to create detailed Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Trial Balance reports, you can do that too.
Manage your business banking – You can also set up all your bank accounts – personal and business – in the applications, allowing you to view balances, import transactions and set up regular repeat transactions.
